COUNTDOWN TO BURIAL: Sept. 2005 - Sept. 2015

This piece was purchased at Art Basel 36 by a private collector living in Germany. The collector agreed to the terms stated in the concept tableau. Catherine Bastide, the collector, and I struck a deal that I would install the piece in his home where it would remain for ten years. During those ten years, the three of us would collectively work on trying to exhibit the piece, finding a location for the burial, and producing a catalog documenting the project. Below are excerpts from the novel.
